Can AI solve a struggle companies have with branding – model exclusivity?
Some models come to identify a brand, especially new brands trying to get noticed. A model will headline the brand’s first marketing campaigns and literally be the face and the body of the brand. What happens next is where exclusivity come in and what AI could certainly fix. The model is suddenly the face and body of several other brands that all may be competitors. In many cases, for the model, it is like a boxer working their way up the ranks towards the title – the top brands. What if the brand could really own the model because she/he is AI generated? The model certainly can’t take interviews on their own however she/he can be sold and still become the face and body of many brands. It is rather crazy to be honest.
To keep it simple – keep investing in tech.
I would not be surprised if people sell their likeness more and more as time goes on. It will literally be a simple app to sell yourself. Are you hot enough be an AI model? What happens if the company adds freckles – Is that still considered you and do you still get paid? What if you are the AI-face of a brand you dislike or don’t want to be associated with. Lots of lawyer lingo needed to protect people from a future industry that people don’t fully understand. So many questions about the future. How long is your face valid for? Does the actual model need to be a so-called role model still?
Pretty sure that most social media sites say that they own your photos once uploaded. Don’t quote me on that but if so then can they sell the AI-you based on their image of you.
Not to get off topic but if you watched Ballers on HBO then you may remember the surfer guy who modeled for a brand that made his skin darker. How does AI work for that case?
